Femeii in parc – Ammar Alnahhas

Poetry at the Euphrates

With his portraits, which we present on the occasion of the International Women’s Day on March 8, the Syrian sculptor and Romanian painter Ammar Alnahhas immerses himself in a unique, incomparable way into narratives of legends about the beauty and grace of the woman of the Orient. Narratives, illustrating with impressive imagery the artist’s deep connection with oriental culture, taking the viewer along to the world of ancient Mesopotamia’s women. Women who drink from the waters of the Tigris and the Euphrates, who sit on the riverbanks, clothed in colorful dresses, and tell mysterious stories.

We are fascinated and captivated by Ammar Alnahhas’ poetry and artwork. Who is this mysterious woman that speaks to us, who is she, who lets her tunes resound there? Is she the eternal lover, the sister, the mother, the friend – the queen? As we accompany her on her journey, she tells us her story.
